Just watched the devlog video and played the game. I think it's pretty cool although the artifact system feels kind of forced. I love the line of sight tho it makes a simple on paper dungeon really stand out. And since I always like procedural generation that's a plus as well. Good job!

Thanks, GameCrow4! Glad you enjoyed it.

Super cool!
I came from YouTube, and I love the game. The Line Of Sight and Procedural Generation makes the game really stand out in my opinion.

I personally thing the Zooming when drawing the bow is a bit too much, but overall a great game. Incredible effort making this in only three days!

Nice work!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I was really curious about your procedural generation, and I was going to ask you about that, but then I saw you're doing YouTube tutorials as well! Turns out I've seen quite a few of your videos without knowing it's you!

Actually, for my demo game, I've downloaded a free resource package, and it looks identical to your resources in this game - did you make this too?

Anyway, I'm off to see your tutorial on procedural generation. Thanks for contributing in such a way to the community <3

The asset pack is Ninja Adventure Asset Pack by pixel-boy. Almost all the resources in Failing But Gaining are taken from this asset pack, including SFX and music.

Thanks for your kind feedback! I'm glad my contributions were helpful :)

please could you make a version for linux

I could make a Linux port, but since I don't have any machine running on this OS I wouldn't be able to test the build. I think the HTML port quite solves the problem because you can play it in the browser. However, I appreciate your suggestion! I'll keep that in mind in case if I continue working on this project.

Good job.

Although short, this game is pretty fun! I like your concept of using deaths as a currency. I don't think I see this in any rogue like games that I had played.

Great job!

Thank you!

That was fun to play :)

This is really cool. I like how the red flames light up the sections of rooms they occupy. It gives a visual goal to get to that you then extinguish on arrival. I kept feeling the "okay, just one more" thing, which is a great sign. Good work :)

Oh my, it's so nice to hear I could provoke this feeling by the game! I'm glad you liked it ^^
